Starting with just two customers, O'Neill Coffee Company was founded in November 1951 by Jim and Peg O'Neill. With Jim doing the roasting and selling and Peg the packing and bookkeeping, the company steadily expanded throughout Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio over the next 30 years. Drawing on his many years of coffee experience, Jim developed O'Neill's signature "Green Bag" house blend, which is still served in restaurants, businesses and homes today. Joe Walsh took over the daily operations of his family's business in 1999. Under his guidance, O'Neill Coffee expanded its private label roasting and packaging program, which includes distributors in several eastern states. Joe has also increased the number of gourmet and flavored coffees available to customers. In 1999, a retail store was opened in West Middlesex. Founded on the basis of quality and service, O'Neill Coffee Company continues to serve fine establishments, offices and homes in Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio. The internet now allows for that same quality coffee and exceptional customer service to be available all across the country. Private Label

I never realized how many local businesses and restaurants served O'Neill Coffee. When I met the current president, Joe Walsh, I told him how much I enjoyed their coffee, and he suggested I stop by the shop to get some for home. I didn't realize I could buy it directly from their retail shop in West Middlesex or from locally owned grocery stores like D'Onofrio's, Mr. D's, Shop & Save, Golden Dawn, etc. Needless to say, I now enjoy O'Neill Coffee at home too.
